My world perception and consciousness goes beyond any religion, nevertheless I love and appreciate all of them. I feel the unity of World Cultures, I sense the layers of knowledge they hold and I try to be a window to what I perceive. My insights and inspiration come through prayers, dreams or meditations and my art becomes a medium to reveal all of the treasures as they emerge”
Valentyna Chaykovska
Valentyna Chaykovska is a Ukrainian artist - a painter, a graphic artist, a sculptress and a teacher, currently residing in Kyiv.
Member of the National Artists Union of Ukraine since1995.
Her art is very symbolic and versatile which finds its vent through different genres and embraces a vast variety of styles, cultures and even epochs.
She believes that a true purpose of Art is to display essential wisdoms and insights that would enrich the mind, heart and soul. Her art provides an intellectual stimulation as well as soothing and inspiring influence on the viewer. One might find himself or herself in a calming harbour or a personal temple while contemplating the masterpiece.
